The book Green Eggs and Ham was published on the 12th August 1960 in the USA and is one of my favourite Dr Seuss stories to read with kids.
Ingredients Needed For Your Green Eggs And Ham Recipe
- 6 Hardboiled Eggs
- Avocado (Small-Medium size)
- 2 Tbsp Mayo
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- Salt to taste
- Sliced Deli Meat Ham
- Green Food Coloring
Green Eggs And Ham Recipe
This recipe will show you how to make green eggs and ham in the classroom or at home. Wherever you choose to make this Dr Seuss food idea, I’m sure it will go well and be super fun for all the kids to enjoy!
Peel and cut in half the hardboiled eggs. Scoop out the yolks and place in a medium size bowl.
Add the mayo, lime juice, salt, avocado and 1-2 drops of food coloring. Mix and mash well.
Scoop or pipe the green eggs mixture into the white boiled eggs.
Take the ham and cut in half. Roll up and stick a toothpick in it.
Place the ham on the end of the egg and push the toothpick down into the egg.
Your green eggs and ham is now ready to serve for a fun Dr. Seuss party!!
You could make these at home as a fun way to extend your child’s interest in the Dr Seuss books. Reading and doing book related activities with kids. is a great way to help children build basic literacy skills whilst having fun.
