How Old Is R2D2?

R2D2 is 66 years old in the movie The Force Awakens. According to Starwars Wookiepedia, R2D2 was built right before The Phantom Menace. Star Wars A New Hope took place 32 years after The Phantom Menace and The Force Awakens was 34 years after A New hope, making R2D2 66.

Who Built R2D2?

R2D2 was originally built by the droid manufacturing company Industrial Automation. R2D2 was sold to the Royal Engineers of Naboo and was modified to his current droid state. He then became a service repair droid on Queen Amidala’s Royal Starship.

How To Make This R2D2 Robot Craft

Download and print out the R2D2 Robot template.

Follow the directions and print on the correct colors of cardstock.

Next cut out the different pieces of your R2D2 Template.

You could also print on white cardstock and color in the pieces if you want to make this into a Star Wars coloring activity as well.

Once you have assembled all the pieces together, glue together to create your R2D2 Paper craft.

You could experiment using different colors and make an entire army of fun and funky Star Wars R2D2 Crafts.
