With the festive season right around the corner, you’re probably on the hunt for some easy and inspired Christmas themed activities to keep your kids busy with. Well, guess what? This Christmas tree craft and writing activity is just that and more.

This simple activity is a great way to get your kids to exercise their cutting and pasting skills and spend some fun time while they’re at it.

This activity is perfect if your kids are already good at basic cutting and pasting, and need to sharpen their skills a bit more, and learn to be more prescise.

Supplies needed for the christmas tree craft

You’ll need just a handful of supplies for this easy craft activity. It always helps if you have all of these basic art and craft supplies handy at home to keep your little ones occupied with some fun projects the next time they’re feeling bored.

  • Printer
  • Construction Paper (or cardstock)
  • Fine Tip Black Marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils

Ready to get your kids started on this fun craft activity? You’ll first need to print out the different sections of the tree on the appropriate colored cardstock.

Here Add a Create Card/ Using Blocks

Next, it is time to hand those pair of scissors and get them to cut those sections. if your kids are not old enough to be able to cut, you can do this part yourself and get them to do the next part.

And now comes out the glue stick. Ask your kids to paste together the different sections of the tree as you can see in the picture.
