How To Make This Paper Plate Eskimo Craft
Begin by drawing and creating the different parts of your Eskimo’s face. You will need a semi circle of brown paper for hair, white paper for eyes, a nose, mouth, and pink rosey cheeks.
We printed off eyes but it’s much easier and more fun for kids to create their own eyes using white paper, scissors, and sharpie pens.
Next, begin cutting small slits on the brown hair of the Eskimo as shown in the picture. Glue the Eskimo hair to the paper plate.
Add the eyes, the nose and two rosey pink cheeks.
This is a good opportunity to talk to kids about snow and cold weather. You can teach the little ones how cheese goes red when your face is cold.
Now for the fun part, add glue to the edges of your paper plate and stick cotton balls around the whole plate to create the Eskimo’s warm fluffy hat.
Allow children to create their own Eskimo by gluing treating their own paper features. They may choose to use blonde hair and blue eyes. It’s great to let little ones be creative and make their own choices whilst making their winter craft.
