Supplies Needed For This Fun Kids Activity
There’s a surprisingly short supplies list for this super fun filled craft activity. Infact, you probably already have all of this at home.
- Construction Paper (or cardstock)
- Fine Tip Black Marker
- Crayons, Markers or Colored Pencils
If you’ve got cardstock (or another thick paper) and not construction paper in particular, you can still work on this right? Well, what most people don’t know is that cardstock is not the same as construction paper. While you can definitely utilize any of them for this craft idea, they are not a replacement for each other when it comes to more complex crafts.
Construction paper is actually easier to get and fold, and is cheaper too. Cardstock is usually thicker than construction paper, but has a smoother finish, and you’ll find it in many different textures ranging from glossy and embossed to patterned ones too.
How To Make A Mad Scientist Paper Craft
Begin by downloading your mad scientist template.
Next you will need to cut out the pieces using your scissors or trace around the template onto construction paper.
Assemble all the parts of your Mad Scientist craft together and use your glue stick to complete this fun children’s craft idea.
Kids Writing Prompts
This would make a fantastic character to add to the Halloween bulletin board or a preschool classroom display. For older kids you can extend the activity by using the writing prompt.
Have the kids ask themselves questions about being a mad scientist. You may ask what they would look like, what they would create or invent if they were a scientist. The kids can now conjure up ideas and write down their thoughts on the writing prompt.
This would make a fun Halloween activity and is a great way to get kids crafting and writing at the same time.
I’m sure you will love this super fun writing prompt idea and it will get a lot of interest from the kiddos. Enjoy!
And as promised, here’s the link to the actual template right here. Click and download it, save it, print it, and just get started on this super fun activity!
