Crayon Recycling Dinosaur Craft Preschoolers Will Love!

Today I am so excited to share this simple and easy way to recycle old crayons. Crayon recycling is a fun activity and this D is for Dinosaur Craft idea will make a great afternoon of fun for the little ones. It can also double up as a dinosaur party gift idea!

Supplies Needed For This Crayon Recycling Project

  • Dinosaur Silicone Mold
  • Crayons – Broken Crayons that need new life.
  • Baking Sheet

How To Recycle Crayons Dinosaur Style

Step One: Heating The Other Before Melting Crayons

Preheat your oven to 275 degrees.

Step Two: Breaking Up Your Crayons

Unwrap your broken crayola crayons and break each one into little pieces. 

Recycle Old Crayons In A Mold

Place the crayon pieces into each mold.

Mix and match the colors or make them solid.

Crayon recycling can be a creative and fun process and so you can make multicolored crayons or solid colored recycled crayons.

Place The Dinosaur Mold Onto Baking Tray

Put your dinosaur mold onto a baking sheet and place in the oven for 7-8 minutes or until the crayons have melted.

Remove Recycled Crayons From The Oven

Remove the recycled crayons from the oven and let cool until they are completely solid.

Remove the crayons with care by popping the recycled crayons out of the dinosaur mold.

Your DIY Recycled Crayons are Ready To Use!

Your crayons are now ready to use or to wrap up!
