What Is Phonemic Awareness?
Rhyming helps a child to develop phonemic awareness, but what does the term Phonemic awareness mean?
A phoneme is a sound and through using words that rhyme either in books, nursery rhymes or songs children are able to develop essential skills such as anticipating the next word in the sentence.
