How To Create This Fish Art Project

To create this super cute Waterfish with plants art project you will need to download our waterfish printable template.

Once the fish template is printed off, cut out, and prepare for painting. If you’re making these fish with a class, you will want to print lots of pages. Why not save time and leave the cutting for the kids?

Cutting out templates helps children to develop fine motor skills and it’s a great learning opportunity and way to practice.

Take your waterfish template and begin to paint with fantastic watercolors. You can choose your own colors or use our fish craft tutorial here as a guide

Allow your fish to dry as you print out and cut out the rest of the water scene. There are plants, rocks, and shells on the second pdf printable.

Be sure to print out these pages according to the instructions on the printable pdf. Glue the pieced together to create your rocks and plants.

Now for the fun part! Rip some sandy colored cardstock to create a sandy scene.

Glue this sand to a piece of blue cardstock. Next rip different shades of blue paper and create a layered ocean effect.
