HOW TO MAKE THIS Paper Pilgrim Craft

Download your printable template from Craft Play Learn. Print out your template pieces on the correct colors. If you want, you can also print out on white paper and add coloring or painting to the activity.

Once you have the template pieces allow the children to cut each piece and prepare for pasting.

Glue all the pilgrim template pieces together, the face, body and pilgrim hat etc. Have the child construct their pilgrim craft ready to continue the thanksgiving activity.

Next allow each child to talk about the things they are thankful for. Discuss the many blessings we have, the food and clothes we wear and the talk about the wonderful world in which we live.

Allow each child to use the prompts to write a piece about thankfulness. You can display the art work and thoughts of the children on a board and maybe even use these at mat time to extend learning about Thanksgiving and gratitude.
