1 Frogs absorb water through their skin so they do not need to drink.

2 There are about 90 species of frogs in the world.

3 Frogs can lay up to 4000 eggs at one time. This is called frog spawn and the eggs turn into tadpoles before becoming frogs.

4 Frogs eat any living thing that will fit into their mouths including bugs, spiders, worms, slugs, larvae and even small fish.

5 Frogs are social creatures that live in groups. A group of frogs is called army, colony or a knot.

How To Make This Frog Pond Sensory Bin

Pour pluffle into a storage container to create your frog pond.

Cut several lily pad shapes from green felt.

You can easily do this by cutting a circle and then cutting a tiny triangle from one side.

Add the lillypads to the bin and place on top of the pluffle.

Add a few giant water beads to the bin.

Add a few pieces of long dry grass to the bin.

Scatter a few rubber frogs into the bin.

Now the frog pond is complete your child can explore this fun spring sensory bin and have lots of fun!

Frog Activities For Preschool Can Be fun!

The giant water beads are quite fragile, and expect your child to squeeze them!

They are likely to burst, which is quite fun for little hands!

When play time is finished, remove the water beads and snap a lid on it for future play sessions.
