Bats At Halloween
Bats are often associated with Halloween, but why is that? Bats are nocturnal creatures, which means they are active at night. This can be a bit scary for some people. Bats also live in dark places like caves, which some people find spooky.
Bats are also interesting creatures. Did you know that bats are the only mammals that can fly? They are also very helpful to our environment. Bats eat a lot of insects, which helps to keep the insect population under control.
So, not only are bats fascinating creatures, but they also play an important role in our ecosystem. Now that you know a little bit more about bats, let’s get started with this fun Halloween activity!
Best Crayons For This Bat Art Project
We used Crayola crayons for this project and they worked great! They have nice, bright colors and they go on smoothly.
Paper: We prefer to use construction paper for projects like this, but any type of paper will work.
Scissors: Any type of scissors will work for this project. We usually use whatever we have on hand.
Markers: We used black Sharpie markers to outline the bat but you could also use crayons or anything else you have on hand.
How Line Drawing Can Help With Fine Motor Skills
Line drawings are a great way to help kids with fine motor skills. This activity will also help kids to practice drawing straight lines. For some kids, drawing curved lines can be difficult, so this activity will help them to improve their skills.
Developing fine motor skills is important as it helps with writing, cutting with scissors, and doing up buttons and zippers. So not only is this activity fun, but it’s also educational!
