And of course, you don’t necessarily need to stick to the color- just make use of the materials you already have, and you should be pretty much sorted.
How To Make A Seashell Starfish Craft
Begin by applying two coats of pink paint to the shell. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
While the paint dries, you can cut out the rest of the starfish’s body. A simple, freehand star shape will do. Your pink craft felt and scissors are perfect for this.
Once the pink craft paint is dry, you can add the shell to the body. Add a dab of glue to the underside rim and press the shell to the felt star.
Now, add the googly eyes to the shell. A drop of glue on the back of each should hold the eyes on in place. Your seashell starfish is now ready to be displayed!
Make sure you let your little one take charge over the project when you’re working on it. Guide him through it, but let him do things his way. Remember that it doesn’t need to be picture perfect right?
Fun Ideas For Ocean Crafts
Apart from craft activities, you could also download some free printables for activities and coloring sheets that are inspired by sea life. The idea is to add a little learning to your child’s fun time.
And of course, it is hard to keep your little one away from the screen right? Use it to your benefit and include some educational material in the limited screen time you’re offering to your little one. Look up different YouTube channels that have content that’s perfect for your toddler’s age group, and put them on.
Reading Books At Bedtime
The goal is to have the maximum constructive use of your little one’s time. And of course, there’s nothing better than finishing it off with a good book during bedtime right?
