How To Make This Grinch Craft Wooden Slice Resource
Begin by choosing a set number of wooden slices. We have 5 for this Dr Seuss art project. Once you have your slices laid out find a pencil and begin drawing characters from the Grinch book.
Draw And Paint The Grinch Characters
Use your pencil to draw your Grinch characters and pictures. Once you have a good outline you can find paint, felts, or posca paint pens to color in your Dr Seuss images.
It’s that simple! If you need inspiration, you can create the same pictures shown below or you might want to flip through your Dr Seuss book to look for something you wish to draw.
Once the wooden slices are completed be sure to coat them with varnish or sealer to help these fun reading resources or decorations stand out!
Using These Reading Resources With Kids
As well as having fun drawing and painting The Grinch onto these wooden slices, you can use them as a reading resource. So how do you do this?
You could make a heap of different wooden slices with different characters, place them in a lucky dip bag and have a child choose one. Depending on the slice they choose, you can read the book that matches the character they have picked out.
